The name Odr means ‘Inspiration.’ Little is known about the Vanir God Odr, what is known is he is the husband of the goddess Freyja and father to two daughters Hnoss and Gersemi. He often went on long travels over the nine realms and when he did Freyja wept golden tears when she missed him. These tears are found on Midgardr as amber.
